Welcome to the miniblog!

I've been reading a lot more than I used to lately.  As someone who enjoys writing, that should come as a bit of a surprise, but I'd been muddling through writing drunk poetry so often that I forgot what habits good writers actually abide by.  I was reintroduced to a book I was supposed to read in high school called On Writing by Stephen King, and newly introduced to The Creative Habit by Twlya Tharpe.

Both of these suggestions came from one of my internet idols, Merlin Mann (whose delightful content you can find here, here or even here), on the topic of building habits to become more creative.

Habits are built through hard work and dedication.  If you needed me to tell you that, I would be a little bit sad, but I'd know we're in the same boat.  As part of building habits to foster greater creativity, I'm going to be adding to this "miniblog" from time to time.

Sometimes the posts will be long. Sometimes they won't.  The length, and to a greater extent — to me at least — the weight, of the content doesn't really matter.  For me, this is going to be a safe space to jot down stuff I'm thinking to help develop myself as a writer.  It's a safe space where I can try and fail.

I guess that makes this no different than any other blog, I just like the idea of it being miniturized.
